No details are yet available on the specifics of the mutliplayer action. The secret game, which has been in development for some time already and is expected to be fully playable at Space World, sports an impressive 256 megabit (32MB) cartridge and a simultaneous two-player mode. When an "international peacekeeping force" failed to neutralize the mutants, a mysterious figure known as "She" arose to aid in their destruction, according to Nintendo Power Source, which also notes that it isn't clear if character Saki Amamiya is in fact "She."
It was a game that merged the bullet bonanza and sword slicing of Radiant. Sin & Punishment 2 is set for Japanese release on October 29. It was over a decade ago, in the last gray days of the N64s lifespan, that Treasure released the first Sin & Punishment. Evidently the Lufian are a foul, changed clan of humans who mutated grotesquely and then immediately wreaked havoc on the rest of the world. Sin & Punishment 2 will feature a Wi-Fi score ranking, allowing players to show off their shooting skills to the rest of the world. The game follows the adventures of 14-year-old Saki Amamiya and 15-year-old Airan Jo (both Anoop approved), who are on a quest to save the city of Tokyo from a group of mutants known as Lufian. Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earth is apparently NCL's attempt at creating a 3D first-person shooter, except with a very Japanese twist.
